try doing any type of stretching (such as this position) after a warm bath or shower. i was told to do stretches by an old cheer coach who wanted us all to have the splits (all 3 ways) within 2 weeks. it took about a week or so of slowly doing them after a shower and holding it longer as the days went by.
so, start out with a short ammount of time for each position, and gradually work your way up.:thumbup
