I always wondered what happened to excess calories that I did consume. for example, when I was younger, I could consume a whole can of Pringles at a sitting. I forget the calorie content, but it was at least 2000. is my body taking in all those calories, or do some remain undigested. That was along with 2 footlongs from subway.

that's what I figured. So how do I know what I am eating is getting digested? does the body have a way to say, enough... I'm probably not going to want to check the caloric content of the feces. I was just reading something that said that too much protien causes problems as it is harder to digest than carbs. I'll grab it later but it was a booklet from Rodale.

See, now that is a problem. so what is going on with all the atkins people?
How much would it cost to have a personal trainer come up with all my exercise plans, and a nutritionist and dietitian? I need a team working on me. and a masseuse. definitely |

Well the atkin thing is really not doing any good at all. Sure it will work for a short period of time.
Not consuming enough CHO will really decrease brain function, it will also cause a process called gluconeogenesis. It will break down lean muscle mass and use this as an energy source. Fat is a great source of calories or energy however you want to look at it. But you can't use fat as a substrate without CHO. |
