Default WTF get off me.

Been cranking out the lifting and cardio every weekday for about a month now.

I've lost 5lbs. Wow!!

WTF, I don't eat all that much honestly. I don't drink sodas, I drink water during the day and beer sometimes afterwork.

This weekend was a bad weekend for me, ate ass loads I shouldn't have, prolly threw on another 3 lbs.

In any case, wtf is going on? I mean I go in the gym and alternate upper/lower days and then do some cardio every day after my RE.

I feel and look much stronger(especially in arms and chest) but wtf, were talking about 1lb a week here...I thought I should be averaging double that.

I only wanna crank off another 15-20lbs...and I was hoping by June I could but daminit, why is my body wanting to sloooooowly lose weight? Right now I'm about 204, 5'8. I'm a strong lil guy, but I wanna get rid of the tummy.

Suggestions....like cutting out the beer? =.....[
Any beers that wont throw a gut on you?

There are a lot of factors concerning your progress and I'll be more than happy to discuss some with you but I'll first point out what can be causing the issue.

1. Calories burned vs calories consumed
2. Resting metabolic rate decreasing (not eatingn right)
3. Alcohol (contain 9 calories per gram)

I would really look at your eating habits how often are you eating, what are you eating, etc. Post what you ate the last couple of days and when you ate it and what portion size you were eating.

Take a Typical week day.

Breakfast

Sausage/Egg/Chese(No Bread) 360
OJ 260

Lunch
Subway 6" Sandwich 350
Coke 150
Chips 150

Dinner
Chef Boyrdee Spaghetti 250
OR
Tuna Fish 450
Chips 200
Beer or Two 150/piece

Total
2460(this assumes I eat both Canned food AND tuna for Dinner)

I feel like total shit today. My Body has been pretty consistant with about 1.5lbs per week, but that seems to be a good bit below average.

During the day at work, I drink water like its going out of style. I dunno who our vendor is, but this water tastes great.

One day I will do upper body RE & Cardio, next day its lower body RE and cardio.

I have been decently pleased with my results up to this point, I think its just a cultiviation of feeling like total shit(I think I have a cold coming on) and seeing the scale go up a few(im sure from the weekend).

tia

1.5 lbs per week is pretty good actually the high end is about 2lbs, since you are doing RE I would look into seeing if you can track your body fat composition. This will show you if your losing body fat and replacing it with lean muscle mass which might be the case. One thing you might want to do instead of weighing yourself every week is going every 2-3 weeks instead.

Also i don't know if you can cut the soda out but that would make a difference. Also really try to limit processed foods, but you seem to be on a good track. Check out the weight loss tracker to see where your at, since you already know the caloric values of your foods you might already be using it.

Not knowing a lot about your body type I would suggest using this tool on our webpage to figure out where your at, it's faily accurate.

Calculate your suggested caloric intake

That thing say 2062 cals a day.

That seems WAAAAY low, especially for someone who is in the gym an hour each morning.

There are a lot of variables that go into determining what your caloric intake should be, it also seems as if you are trying to lose weight too, so a huge caloric intake isn't required.

I'm not trying to bulk up, but I want to make sure that I am providing a proper caloric deficit. I consume ~2200 cals a day, so I would like to make sure that my Base Caloric Intake to maintain weight would be at least 2700-3000 cals/day.
