Ok, that's a lame excuse but it's true.
I work a part time job and a full time job, plus I also go to culinary school. What are some good things to eat that are relatively inexpensive, that I can grab and eat while I'm on the run? (I have a dairy allergy) I try to eat 40% vegetables, 20% protein and 40% carbs while I'm filling up my plate at lunch for culinary school. I normally make myself a large salad with mesculin greens (what they most often have) with whatever dressing. I then make another plate with whatever protein they are serving, plus rice or noodles. Are there better food choices I could make while eating at school?

Isn't Ensure for old folks...you don't look that old to me!!!!
Jk. I think they came out with a new line targeted at individuals on the go...I saw a comerical during NBC's Passions for it. Check out your local suppermarket and see what they have...or Rite Aide or Wallgreens. |

Get some plastic sealable containers and make all of your meals the night before, pre-portion them, and pack em up for tomorrow.
Cooking the meals is what takes the most time, eating tends to be quick. I would suggest lean chicken, rice, veggies, and wheat bread sandwiches... All of these should stay without spoiling, and they all taste pretty good when they're lukewarm (in the event that you don't have a way to heat them up) Last edited by S54MCoupe; 02-15-2007 at 04:39 AM. |

Some quick dishes to make is baked fish is quick and easy. Also soups and beans are easy to make as well and nutritious. Split pea soup is really good too. I like to eat mine with pita bread or garlic bagels.
