Default Hard To Lose Weight...need Help

hey all!!

okay so ive weight roughly 118lbs since the 10th grade and now Im a 2nd year college student still weighting the same. I have decided I desperately want to drop some lbs and become healthier for my height and more fit for my sports. my goal is to become 110 or maybe even 105. I have been dieting and excersing plenty ever since I inforced this goal on myself and havent seen lbs come off. could this possibly because Ive had this fat for 6 years? Will it be harder to lose?

well, first of all I am going to guess you are a female? no guy that wieghed 118 would want to lose weight. ;)

Look at soup's weight loss thread. i wouldn't do anything radical, but eat a few less calories, watch the protein/carb ratio, and keep drinking water.

what kind of exercise are you doing? the crossfit and HIT schools of training seem to claim good quality weight loss. I do a lot of running, and even though I have lost a lot of weight, I still have a lot of fat for a guy that runs 60+ miles a week. I think short intense bursts burns the fat. of course the ice cream I ate for dinner didn't help.

Ha yes I am a girl.

I havent been working out every day, I do it about every other day because Im usually sore.

But I go to the gym and work arms: biceps, triceps, forearms. my back/shoulders. legs: quads hamstrings (also jump on and off 2ft blocks). lost of abs ( because that seems to be the only area that carries fat and the area i need to look most fit). I spend around an hour lifting then drink muscle milk light after.

then I take a day off if im sore then the following day I go to a football field and do sprint intervals, the last one I did was jog up and down the field 10 times then sprint 50yrds jog 50yrds for about 5 football field lengths or until I cant anymore. Then I usually try to go home and do abs.

Ive really changed my eating habit around since summer started and that was probably the hardest thing to get used to. I slipped up a lot but now Im starting to be more persistent. I have coffee and oatmeal in the morning. I eat either veggies or fruits throughout the day. I have either a salad or wrap for lunch. today Im having a type of stir fry that I made that consists of veggies, chicken, some white rice (it didnt come with brown) and a little soy sauce. and for dinner ill probably try to get a chicken salad. I usually snack at night which i know isnt good but i figure since I get good all day it would harm me to have 3 handfuls of goldfish at 1130.pm.

I drink about 3-4 nalgine bottles of water each day.
occasionally get drunk on weekends. :)
