Hi everyone! I'm new and I had a question in regards to sweet potatoes. I know that sweet potatoes are not the same as potatoes, and since sweet potatoes are a vegetable, I wonder if they are okay for weight loss? I want to make sure to burn fat and lose weight, and I really really like sweet potatoes. Are sweet potatoes good for dieting? Or should I avoid those, as they could really ruin it? Thank you!

Hi everyone! Thanks for the welcome
When I eat sweet potatoes, I just usually steam them or I put them in the microwave and heat it up. I don't add anything on to them -- I just eat it whole, with the skin. Is it a good vegetable? |

I just had one today, and it was yummy. a lot different than the yams my grandmother used to make.

welcome to the board! They are defintely a good vegetable for weight loss, as they have a lot of fiber and other nutrients. Like Josh said, keep your total calorie count in mind when eating in general.
