No fat is a substrate which means as you lose it it will come away from everywhere. What you could do to make you chest appear bigger though is focus on incline bench presses.

Oh, the dreaded Moobs.. no good.

I would think it's just something that will work off as you burn the fat. Just work at it. Stay on it and hopefully you see some Moob reduction.

Good luck!

i think you're right josh on getting a bigger chest you need to hit incline hard..but to target the whole chest and burn fat more..do incline, bench, decline and fly's...do a shit ton of push ups too

Pingman the best way to get rid of the man boobs would be a diet change and just increasing activity since all it is, is fat. Something you can do to mask it for the time being is if you are doing a regular flat bench would be to increase it to an incline bench.

What does your current work out plan look like. If you already haven't changed your meal plan now would be the time. If you could get 200-300 calories a day and increase some cardio chances are that might make a huge difference if you haven't already made any alterations to your diet.

Seems like cardio and push-ups will be a big part of my early plan.

Just to say that I agree w/Sportsmedjosh here. Sevearl nutritionists had related to me that "great abs are born in the kitchen". More body movement...perhaps dancing, bicycling, hiking to name a few activities. If you work that chest, be sure to include shoulder exercises so as to increase your upper body equally w/chest. I bought a kewl chair in walmart for 89. which came w/a dvd to show you how to "dance" in the chair and an illustrated book containing diet plans to lose fat. It is called "The ab-doer Xtreme". I gained 52 lbs in 35 weeks and all the while maintained 8% bf simply by using the abdoer 2x per week, it was easy to use it 45 mins while watching my fave tv shows. My wife took off 26 % bf using it.

Hrmm I noticed alot of you mentioned building the chest area. Not alot about reducing the "moobs" as E36Guy referred to it. Sportsmedjosh, you mentioned 200-300 calorie intake and more cardio, is there a place in this forum where they give a little more detail as to what is best to eat? and what kind of cardio to do? Thanks!

davdrums - my suggestion was to decrease 200 - 300 calories. Any cardio as long as it gets your heart rate up. Find your resting heart rate there is a thread with a downloadable xls form where you can keep track of your cardio and find out where your heart rate should be. Check it out here: http://www.epoc-fitness.com/forums/r...es-worksheets/

The reason we said build up chest is while you are trying to reduce your body fat it will give a more built appearance while decreasing the apperance of man boobs. However this isn't targeting the fat that lies under your chest.

First, I think its funny that alot of us look at the title of this thread and know exactly where that all comes from, as we remember back to the styling subforum.

I would say start doing the above and try to incorporate some more cardio. I had luck with the interval training. And you can do that on a bike, if you dont like to run.
