Default I joined LA Weight Loss today!

YAY so I finally did it and they were running a like 75 percent off special and
I got in at only 234 dollars! yay! Well I did it and it is amazing. I can't wait they work with my Crohn's disease and they work with what I like to eat that is good for me to help me come up with my plan. I go in weekly for weigh ins and Im so excited. The lady said I can be at my goal by the holidays which I think shes right. Don't worry ya'll Im still gonna excercise haha! She said pure cardio for me because I have alot of muscle and the fat I do have will just turn into muscle. Shes a dietician and was so nice! Im sooooo excited.

fat turn into muscle? Their completely different tissues?

Well she said that not it will litterally turn into muscle but that since my im not giagantic or obese I would just be trading pounds for muscle instead of losing weight

Congratulations.. I used to be a member at one of those.. Except I only used it for racquetball and very occasional weights.

Anyway, enjoy your training and hope to see some good progress here. Keep us posted.

The Dietician said not to do weight training until im at my goal weight or atleast 10 lbs away from goal. she said that I need to stick to pure cardio. Im sill gonna do sit ups and stuff but no heavy weights. Im still gonna work out my arms too though.

I'm wondering if she's saying not to do weight training because they are recording weight and not body fat percentage. I'm really awstruck on her reasonings. Next time you meet up with her could you ask her why.

I agree with Josh, I am in a we as to why the wouldn't want you weight training? It must be strictly a measure of weight loss and not a measure of the change in your body composition.

Sam- Do you have access to a gym where you can get your body comp tested. I would like to see what it is before and after you reach your goal.

Ya I go to a gym too. I will be documenting my beginning measurements and weight loss. im totally fine without weight trainning cause i don't care about muscle my legs are pure muscle and those are the only things i care about having muscle in. so my elipticals should help.

Well with the increase in lean body mass your metabolism actually increases. The increase in metabolism will allow your body to process calories faster and more efficiently. This in turn will actually speed up your weight loss faster in regards to a decrease in fatty mass or adipose tissue.

Does your gym have the free motion machines? If so I recommend using these as an alternative to free weights.
