Default stretch marks

I've been searching the internet but still can't find some answers about stretch marks.

I got stretch marks on my upper leg (thigh area). I use to ride bikes alot and I think building muscle/getting fatter made them.

some are purple and some are red and they are getting smaller i think. There lighter in color then they were before.

My questions are

since i'm young will they go away with loosing weight?

Does the fading in color mean there going away?

how long do they take to go away?

What color do they turn before there gone?

Thank you very much

they will be on your skin forever, unfortunately. They will turn lighter pink, and then will turn white/clear. It takes about a year total for the color to fade completely (for me anyway, some people it takes less time).

creams will moisturize the skin but will not get rid of them completely (I have heard that strivectin will get rid of them, but I haven't tried it yet).

strivectin, otherwise known as retin A. expensive, but reduces the coloration of stretch amrks in 93% of clinical trials.

i just looked it up.

edit:tretinoin is retin-A, strivectin looks good in the clinicals, but the comments must have been from the other 7%.

Default A suggestion????

I bought a skin roller and used copper peptides. Seems to work good so far. You can buy the rollers on ebay. I bought a kit because I'm too cheap to pay a lot of money. I bought copper peptides and mixed it with my PALMERS COCOA BUTTER cream. I use this after needling. Here is where I bought my roller and the cream is only $4.00 at any drug store. Just my advice.

eBay.ca: REDUCE THE LENGTH AND DEPTH OF STRETCH MARKS & SCARS (item 180172190080 end time 28-Oct-07 23:40:20 EDT)

Also, I hear rosehips oil and emu oil are good to use also. I put green tea bags in my bath every night.

Default Microdermabration

Microdermabration is basically sanding the top layer of your skin off. The same as peels. Laser (Blue Light) or Thermage would benefit you better. Needling works the same as laser, but cheaper. My sister bought a cosmetic tattoo pen and she dry tattoos hers. I'm not that brave. I like my roller. Quick painless. It's basically choice. I combine my treatment with peptide creams, Vitamin C supplements, Vitamin E, Cocoa Butter, and I do a weekly wrap. Seems to be working great! You need to find the treatment that works for you, but it must stimulate the dermis layer of your skin (2mm-3mm below the top layer). You need to get the creams there. Let me know how it works out for ya.
