i like using the frame thing... i don't know wtf its called.
has armrests and no floor. hold yourself up with your arms, and then you can do the abs with your legs instead of your back. have a partner 'fight' you. you push your legs up, he throws them back, and you fight it with negative resitance. go side to side to hit the obliques too |

i don't know what it's called... it's one of those that is like 1/3 ball with a plastic platform on the other side... i don't know if you know what i'm talking about by that description, if not i'll find a picture of it. and medicine ball workouts are bad ass.

Here is one of my work outs that really has helped me out: The only thing that changes after a set of 25 crunches is the position of your legs. Hope this makes sense:
Start with your entire body flat on the ground. Do 25 crunches. Once you finish those 25, immediately bend your needs up so that your tail bone and feet remain on the floor but your knees maked approximately a 30-45 degree angel. Do another 25 crunches. Following this set drop those bent knees to the right side and do 25 crunches. Then take the knees to the left and do 25. Bring the knees back up but this time feet off the floor and the knees make a 90 degree angel. Do 25 crunches. Fllowing this set, straighten out your knees so that only your head neck back and tail bone are still on the ground, BUT your feet are up towards the sky. Do another set of 25 crunches with the goal of touching your nose to your knees. Following this set, with the feet still up towards the sky, lift your butt and SQUEEZ it. 25 times. End with the bicycle style crunches (25) in which your right and left knee alternate getting closer to you and further away, basically pedal a bike while doing a sit up. Try this work out every other day for a week or so and you will see some results!

For everyone lookin for great abs. I'll tell you right now its 95% to do with bodyfat, not the actual muscles. everyone has abs its just a matter of how much fat is on top of them... and losing fat is about 80% diet and 20% exercise... so... if you want abs start looking at your diet! (which is why unless you naturally have a metabolism through the roof they are hard to get :P)
