Talking New bench press milestone!

So for the first time since I started lifting again I wanted to see how much I can put up. I lifted 275lbs. (2x45lbs, 1x25lbs/side) 5 times. :bdance

I usually just work with 185lbs and if I'm feeling macho I lift 205lbs :rulez I actually think I can go more. I'll try 300lbs. next week


Just thought I'd share with you guys.

jesus, you can put up a pretty good amount man. i need a real bench, i hate this sitting up and pushing out shit.

im only 160lbs and can put up 260, quite happy but i want 300 :D

try some dumbells, they're a lot harder than barbells b/c of all the stabelizer (sp?) muscles that you have to use that arent used or used nearly as much on the bar...

I have to agree with mike on this one, dumbells would def increase overall strength taking into consideration that one arm is always stronger than the other. You are also not locked into a specific range of motion allowing your GH joint more fluid motion.
