Default Trade Gym Membership for New Boflex?

Hey i am debating on whether or not to end my gym membership and buy a boflex? any with experience with boflex, i hear great things about them, it would save time, gas money and i will be at home but, i kinda like going to the gym and using the sauna and everything. but if i am at home by myself will i be more motivated and get better results.

I think it really depends on what you find the most benefit from. Personally I hate the gym. I hate chit chat, I hate lines, etc. I get the best work outs at home. If you feel that you would do the same then by all means go about it. Honestly you could prob spend a lot less and get the same if not better work out.

It really depends on how resourceful you are about working out.

Yeah, I would say it comes down to if you can have the drive to workout at home. A lot of the time I find people buy those and then since they are home, they always find ways to get around working out. There is always something at home to drive you away from it. When you drive down to the gym, you are there, you might as well workout without any distraction. So if you can get into a workout routine at home with it, I think you can still do just as well.

I've never owned one, so I couldnt help you as to if it works well or not.

my gym also has treadmills, free weights, and people to watch.

you have to look at your realistic wants and needs and determine the best equipment to reach those goals.

ya, i mean i like going to the gym and being social and stuff and usually the View is pretty good if u know what i mean. it has its negatives an positives. I never tried the home thing before so i dont know how it would go. I think i would do it right when i wake up instead of having to get up, get a shower come home and get another shower, then go to class. idk, my uncle had a boflex for like 3yrs, i need to give him a call.

Here is another solution. Do all your weight training at home and then go to the gym on your off days and do your cardio on a bike. This way you can still enjoy being social to some degree.

Get a nice home gym setup, whats your price range? I've been looking at creating a home gym. I love working out at home so much more than going to the gym. However the lack of space in my small apt makes things difficult.

Going to the gym gets you out of the house?

werked - Have you decided on what you're going to be doing, or what are you currently looking to purchase. What's your budget for this.

bowflex sucks just like any normal home gym.

I've read that a few studies showed people work out harder when they are around other people. I know it's true for myself. When a couple of the pros are in the gym, I always feel like I have to push a little harder. It's kinda dumb, but there you go.

Additionally, I've not heard good things about bowflex. I believe the best results are gotten with free weights. If I was you, I'd keep the gym membership.
