Default Back to Bally's

I haven't been to the gym since I graduated in December. I have an old (1988) lifetime membership at bally's and there is one between my wife's work and school. She wants to go there so that she does not have to go all the way home after work. So I am supportive of that and I get a cheaper gym membership.

I am happy to get back to the gm, as it is super hot outside and it is a bad time of year to run, and I have been doing some body weight stuff outside, but I miss moving metal.

This Bally's seems to have a lot of equipment. I didn't tour it, but I will be going in today. Lots of machines on the first floor and free weights and plate loaded machines upstairs. there's a pool, so I will try out my shoulders, and plenty of cardio machines.

I gotta do something, my lazy ass hasn't moved but once in two weeks.

Ballys is hit or miss i use to work at a ballys when I moved it was nice but when I moved to RI it was horrible and the most run down place I ever been. In fact I quite the work ethic of the staff was horrible and I felt I needed a tetanus shot just walking in.

But other places are the best looking gyms around. It's really werid. All in all I like ballys.

This one has the original gray and chrome machines it had when it started 17 years ago. It also has those white lifestyle machines, and upstairs had the same kind of machines that you load plates onto that USF has.

I really miss the USF gym. :( although the scenery was older and didn't make me feel like a molester for looking. the running track is 1/15 of a mile so 393 times around for a marathon.

My nervous system needs retraining. i was shaking and felt weak.

Any track shorter than 1/4 of a mile really throws me off. Mostly because I hate running indoors due to scenery so having to see the same thing over and over I forget where I'm at lap wise.

I do need to start running in doors because winter in going to start in a couple of months over here.

they have treadmills, so it's rather pointless unless you are doing a little bit of a warmup or something.

Wow, I didn't even know you could get "lifetime memberships." That's awesome. Good to see you will be back into a gym.

well you could in 1988, but I that ended. now it is a month to month deal.

she's paying $100 enrollment plus $37 a month. I will be paying $98 until Dec 07 and then $9 a month. Had I kept up on the membership, I was paying $3 a month.
