What is your height, age, and weight? I'll try to give you some pointers.

the medicine is eat protein/lift weight.

once you get into a good routine and have reached some goals, then I would add supplements.

Sounds like you're in the same boat as me.. (6'4 -- 160lbs)

If you see some good results from something.. let me know.

champ-training-v-1

Try some of those exercises for your shoulders and back.

Look for volume 2-5 here

http://www.epoc-fitness.com/forums/weight-lifting-men/

Try sets of 3x10 for your first workout to get your muscles used to working, then try 3x8 the next work out, and 5x6 the following then try that for a few weeks. You should look into getting a whey protein powder and drink it directly after lifting weights.

Would creatine be a good recommendation in a situation like this? It might help?

I questioned creatine too.. I was considering it at one point.

Not sure why I ended up not doing it..

I can vouch for CellTech. I know people sometimes get weird about muscletech products but I actually saw some results, and minimum water retention. Plus ++ it tasted really good, and it dissolved totally. Right now I have some regular monohydrate that doesnt dissolve and quite frankly it makes drinking it akin to drinking sand, if I could imagine what that is like. I will switch back ASAP.

I was also on NO-Xplode. Now, thats not a muscle builder but I did feel focus was good. I am no longer taking that. It may seem I got sucked into a muscletech marketing scheme but truthfully I saw results from them.

I might suggest supplementing at least with the protein and the glutamine. I was just taking some GNC. For protein I am on Higher Power, which tastes like a milkshake. Plus its cheaper than ON.

I dont really know why I made this post so long, but maybe it will help someone...

Good input. Thanks. I always wonder what people think about some of these products.

Yes creatine will help you get bigger. It just makes you retain water though, so when you quit taking it you will just go down in size
