Default Is GNC really all that bad?

I was just reading post from other online forums and came across alot of negative hostility towards GNC. Are there products really all that bad?

GNC does tend to get a pretty bad reputation...... mainly due to cost. The majority of the inventory in the store can be found for close to half price or better through online retailers.

GNC's products as a brand are kind of hit and miss...... you couldn't pay me enough to use their protein!!!! lol

Stay away from GNC. I worked there at one point and tried quite a few of their GNC brand supplements. None of which I liked.

www.nutraplanet.com
www.bestpricenutrition.com

These 2 sites are VERY efficient, friendly, and affordable. If she is using random non-brand name products (i.e. milk thistle, st john's wort, vitamin e, etc.) she'll probably want to have a look at NOW brand products, which are also available at these sites I believe.

Let me know if I can be of any help.

Bestpricenutrition is good, as is supplementwarehouse, I have used them both and I have to say they both send quality products and have quick delivery times.

GNC stores are franchise owned, so none of them are the same. Where I live there is a GNC about 3 miles away from my house, but I will drive past it and get on the interstate to go about 5 miles out of my way. The one near me has terrible service, and the on far away has excellent personel who can help me find anything I'm looking for.

I do all of my shopping for supplements online. However when I want to try something new I will go there to get their opinions and discuss with them what I want to do, how often I workout, etc, and then buy from them that time. After i have found the product and it works then I will shop online.

To get the best price on something you want to just do a google search on it. One of the sites listed here may have a product for $45 and another may have it as $25.

http://www.easypricematch.com

Best. site. ever.

They will beat any competitor's price by 5%. I bought a tub of NOXplode for $24, GNC had it for $60!

Awesome thanks for the heads up. I think maybe we should make a thread and stick it of places members have delt with before and their experience with that vendor.

This is the same website as www.supplementwarehouse.com. I wouldn't have thought twice about looking, but you mentioned the 5% guarntee, which supplement arehouse also has so I checked it out. Same website, probably for a differenet region of the country.

I also love that site, however they doubled their price on n.o. xplode (so now it $45), you can still do a google search and find it for $25 though.

I'll stick with $20 or $25 for a 5.17 pound tub of ON (bodybuilding.com's best reviewed)
