Prophet,
bsb is correct, 100%. Make sure the wife has diet in check, is working out (including challenging weight training as part of the routine), and only then worry about pills. yes, there are pills that can have effect while one is not doing the 2 main things, but they are not pills you'd want a loved one taking, and they are not the ones I'd ever recommend to anyone. That being said, if you're looking for cost effectiveness, go with our Applied Nutriceuticals Lipotrophin-PM (Non-stimulant fat loss agent). She can use it 2-3 times/day, even though it is marketed as a night-time product. It's available for about $20 at Sport Nutrition Supplements for Bodybuilding and Fitness needs. They have my recommendation as far as online retailers. The best there is, bar none. If you're looking to spend a bit more, the addition of Lipo-AM makes a wonderful stack. There are very few other products on the market that are mild enough (as a stim) that I'd feel comfortable recommending to someone I know nothing about. If you have other things in mind, I'd be happy to offer input. I have nothing against other companies products by any means.

I would like to ask the expert (Vitruvian) to address some of the more "popular" pills that flood my TV during comercials.
Specifically: Stackers Trim Spa Hollywood 24 hr Diet Zantrex 3 Hydroxycut Basically I just want to know what, if any, true results are associated with these. Stackers made me feel like a crack head and didnt help me loose weight at all. Care to shed some light on the comercials that claim wonders?

Stacker, Zantrex, Hydroxycut, and Trimspa have (at least in the past) relied on a combination of various stimulants, appetite suppressants and diuretics piled together to achieve some result. For some people they do work, but only people who are already on the road to weight loss. A lot of users who report results are probably losing weight due to water loss, and lack of appetite causing them not to eat as much. Interestingly, Hoodia is the newest craz in the appetite suppressant world. The thing is, the type of Hoodia that has been proven to have strong app suppressing capabilities is not even available in the quantity it is marketed in. i.e. tons of it are claimed to be in capsules, but only pounds are even farmed. As far as the brands and products, I wouldn't necessarily say they are a complete waste, (like I said, they help some people.... and besides that the placebo effect works wonders), but they don't carry my recommendation at all. (not that that is worth a whole lot. lol) If I remember, the Hollywood 24 is basically a diuretic/colon cleanser in a bottle. You'll lose lbs. fast while sitting on the toilet, but not fat.
