Default Muscle Recovery

I've recently upped the mileage on my bike. I'm currently riding between 20-25 hours a week and I am starting to feel the gradual effects.

What do you recommend for post-exercise muscle recovery?

My current post-ride routine usualy involves this:

1. Stretching
2. Massaging leg muscles.
3. Taking an hour nap with my feet elevated on the beds headboard.

What I am mainly looking for is a supplment(s) to aid in my general recovery. I have heard of this, any thoughts?

Bike Nashbar.com - Endurox R4 Drink Powder

Also, what are the opinions on all of the different amino acids available? Would any of them be benefical to me in any way?

I use Cytomax, which is similar to that endurox and accelerade. I like it, and it has a combo of protein and carbs, so that I am not just drinking sugar water.

I second the ice baths, I used them on my long runs, and I had Ice packs that I used after most every run for problem areas. Ice baths can help prevent normal swelling that can create problems later on. I wish I had Iced my shoulders in HS, then maybe I wouldn't have developed Tendinitis in both shoulders.

I've heard good things about Cytomax. I believe Lance Armstrong actually recommends it as well....?

One important thing to keep in mind is ingestion of a post-workout meal or drink almost immediately after the bout of exercise. This will allow the nutrients to best be assimilated during the post-workout anabolic window of opportunity. (say that 10 times fast.... lol). Thus, allowing for repair and recovery.
