Default Treadmill Tip

Put the incline to 1 degree!

Otherwise when you’re running on the treadmill it is actually easier than running in reality as the ground is moving under you, and so distorts your times/distances covered on the mill, if you were to run on the flat at the same intensity, you would be a lot slower. By setting a slight incline this makes it as if running on flat ground and therefore gives you times that are comparable to outdoors!

I hate running on a treadmill, after an hour when I step off the whole world starts rushing towards me and I get wierd vertigo.

wobbly like you are dizzy, or wobbly like worked hard?

Treadmill uses different muscle groups than running outside. the motor moves the belt instead of your hamstrings moving you forward. it is an approximation of running, unlike say a stationary bike, which can closer simulate the real deal.

the padding under the belt contibutes to that too. the cement I am used to has low rebound, but if you run on grass, it builds the ankles and hips. we have some trail runs coming up in the summer, you run on beach, grass, mud and water. its a blast, but I have to get ready or my ankles wont take it.
