Whelp, I think I've ran myself into this problem. MFer!
Edit: So I got myself checked out today. Apparently the new type of shoe(Mizuno Wave Inspire 4's) from my old pair(Mizuno Wave Alchemy 7s) caused the problem and I strained my ITB. Basically little or no running for the next few weeks. :( Last edited by Daegus; 05-04-2008 at 04:42 PM. |

It happened when I was maybe three miles into one of my runs and my hip/low left outside of my knee started to hurt. Felt like a muscle cramping along my knee and someone had kicked me in the hip. I was limping the next day since it was a tad tender/sore. No soreness or anything now. |

I won't run at all for the next couple of weeks and I will be forced to pool use only(No breaststroke). While I don't have pain when cycling, I don't want to rush it. I was given a lot of really good strength exercises, weighted and non-weighted, to use and do over the next couple weeks from a good friend of mine that is a P.T. Honestly, I think the injury had more to do with the fact my diet and lifting were off. Yeah, this sucks. ![]() |

Yikes.. that sucks man. I've never even heard of it.. ITB makes me think Individual Throttle Bodies (from the Euro engines in BMW E36's
). Very sorry to hear that this problem is slowing you down though. I hope these exercises help out and you can get through it quickly. ![]()
