Default Running Keeps me sane

I had a good day today, I had supervision which is as a therapist, 3 hours of therapy. Then i had to drop off the wife at the airport for her trip to Mexico to see her family. it will be a six week or so long trip. So I was a little sad. But now I have lotsof time to do things, and most importantly, time to run.

Today I did a 7 mile tempo run. After a mile warmup, I did 3/4 mile at 5K pace, then 1/4 mile at 10 min/mile then another 3/4 fast. I threw in some sprints at the end of the fast legs, and I felt super fast today. I have been running with the wife all week, so its been slow and low. today was killer.

on top of all that here was the view:

Nice, I agree with your thread title. Can always count on running to keep my sanity in check. Lets out some pent up stress...

Btw, 6 weeks without the wife...?! Some guys say "heaven", I'd say "hell".

I'm thinking that with all the running I am going to do over the next 6 weeks, I'd like to find a Marathon, but no one seems to want to host one in the summer in Florida. I am going to miss my wife, but how many men get an opportunity like this after marriage? For instance yesterday, I got to watch a couple of Shaw brothers Kung Fu movies. I never took a shower and I had eggs and bacon for dinner.
