Default Pain in my left calf

Hey all,

I've been getting a little pain in my left calf for a little while. I'll try and describe the area, its on the left side of my calf, sort of near the bone. It is a dull shooting pain that comes and goes during normal function - but it hurts when I land on my left side after being thrown, and sometimes when I am using that leg to support most of my weight...any ideas what it might be? tendinitis?

Its hard to say there are muscle test and special test which need to be done and also palpation to where the pain is at. My suggestion would be if you have access to an athletic trainer, have them check it out.

hmm, I thought about that, but it seems like a weird place for a shin splint to be.

I'm just going to try and go on with it through this week as normal and see if it self corrects, then maybe go to the docs next week.

shin splint aka MTSS (medial tidia stress syndrome) are micro stress fractures it would be towards the midline of the body, also be in the front.
