Default A Spot of Trouble

So today my gym decided to get some new equipment, the new stair climbers with personal TV's. I decided I would give it a shot and check it out, was I in for a nice suprise. After about 10 seconds of stair climbing the lateral aspect on knee lit up like never before. Decided I would try a different mode of exercise and tryed the bike and no pain what so ever. Well it's clear from here that no more stair climber for me. Which is alright because I've never been a fan of it anyways. FYI climbing real stairs and climbing does not bother me what so ever.

sounds like sour grapes to me

I wonder if it has to do with the vertical alignment of your hips and body weight as you go up real stairs as opposed to the machine. most people I see grab the hand rails and lean back as they climb.

That's why I used the elliptical to get back into shape before I started running.

I've had a lot of knee problems in my right knee before so I was just suprised that, that caused an episode.

Im not surprised. I find that the stair stepper bears no resemblance to real life stairs, it puts a bad strain on my knees too.

Hope you feel better big boy.

that's awesome that you had no residual pain. The stairmaster has been the reason why I had my first asthma attack .
