Default Bicycle Ride Across Georgia (BRAG)

A friend and I have decided to participate in this event next spring. I think it's in June. Something like 400 miles over 7 days, going from Atlanta to St. Simons Island on the Atlantic coast.

We've started training, riding twice a week, and eventually moving up to trying to ride every day, with some extended-distance rides sprinkled in here and there.

My friend's wife will most likely be our support crew, since she's a teacher and will be off for the summer.

It should be a good time, and a nice way to see a good portion of the state.

that's so great. traveling on bicycle from Raleigh NC to Myrtle Beach SC was one of the best trips of my life. But I did it alone. With friends, it will be terrific.

Have fun! once you start getting over 30 miles in a day, 60 is no problem.

Cycling is an amazing sport, I wish I wasn't afraid of getting ran over riding. I would def pick up a road bike.

Good luck training!

You should also look into the MS 150 they do down here in Jax...It's a ride from Jacksonville to Daytona.

Not as long, but might be a good pre/post event...
