Default Sup Guys!

New member here. Just thought I'd introduce myself by saying WUSSUP GUYS and also give you guys a brief description of where I'm at physically. I've been working out for about a year now. I lost weight but haven't really transformed my body into what I'd like. I've lost maybe about 30 lbs of fat and gained maybe 5-8 lbs of muscle. I feel that I could have done a lot better. So now I'm pushing myself a lil harder in the gym. I want to have a six pack by the end of summer but my ultimate goal is to lose 15-20 lbs of fat and gain 25-30 lbs of muscle in 2 years. I'm 5'8" and currently 170 lbs. bf% is maybe at 13% right now. Looking forward to getting good advice here to achieve my goal. Happy lifting people ;D

welcome your goals don't seem like they are to far away the 15 pounds you should be able to get off within 2 months which will put you around May the start of summer. As far as the 6 pack you'll have to bring your body fat % down for that to work out, but you seem on the right track.

welcome, from past experience its gonna be rough trying to drop your body fat percentage from where you are now..i used to be around that and it took a lot of hard work for me to lower it, but if you keep it up and push yourself, you will be there by summer

thanks for the warm welcome guys ;D I have a question. I went to the gym today and for some reason I felt weak when bench pressing. Last time I worked out my chest was 48 hrs ago. I usually can bench 185 with a little struggle. this past week I've been doing 150 and straining. I feel that I ate properly. this morning I ate 6 boiled egg whites..then 2 hrs later ...ate a granola bar and 2 pop tarts...then next meal was a 4 inch honey mustard chicken at quiznos...then 2 hrs after I ate the other 4 inch chicken sandwich. then drank an ensure(with high protein) an hour before work out. anyone know why I'm feeling weaker than usual? I've been feeling weak for the past week. thanks in advance for any feedback.

as far as my bf% I went down to 11% body fat one time and I can see a little six pack developing. but I want a thicker one so I'm eating a lil more then gonna cut when I feel it's developed more muscle. i think i can probably get my bf% down to 8%(hypotheticaly speaking of course ;D) but the hard part is just maintaining it.(esp. with my weekend cheat days and i eat whatever i want)

Honestly, wait 7 days before you work out the same muscle again if you are maxing out in the exercises.
If your workout isn't very intense, wait 4 days minimum.

wel i do workout till my muscles can't take anymore. but i'm not maxing out as far as how much i can lift. just on how many times i can lift. for example i'll lift 10 reps of 4-6 sets. The first 3 sets will be fairly easy then the ones after i struggle. i'm trying to progress but maybe by trying too hard sometimes it may take me back 2 steps. I'll try working out the same body part every 4 days but if i still feel weak then i'll try 7. thanks for the advice1

You really seems to be pushing yourself very hard. I would work on nice eccentric contractions while working out and back off the sets that you are doing. Really focusing on the eccentric contraction will prob also mean that you have to reduce the weight that you are using. Try this if you want I'm sure it might give you the effects you are looking for.

Let us know what your trying currently and hows that working out for you. Are you liking it are you disliking it.

i do exactly what venture does, i call it more endurance and toning lifting rather than bulk lifting..i want to develop lean and nice muscle so i do lots of reps at moderate wieghts where i will still be pushing myself
