I'd definitely start doing some strength training before the fight, it should be fun. Just remember as the wise Joe Rogan once said "It's a lot easier to do jujitsu when you aren't getting punched in the face"

Allllrighty. 5 weeks out on Friday, time to hit it hard. From now until the night of July 6th my diet cleans up and I hit the gym much harder. Cardio is the main focus, but I will continue to work everything else too. Gotta push til fight night and hopefully walk through my opponent.

Still no clue who I will be in the ol cage with. I do know that it won't be anyone from my school. I know I posted it on bf.c, but didn't remember if I posted it here, so... here is the website for the promotion. I'm supposed to fight at Clash in the Cage 16.

Woot woot! Found a guy to fight today! He goes to my gym too. Yesterday he weighed 187 and I was 169... He's been doing some form on martial arts for ~8 years, but isn't the toughest or most fit guy out there. He's 0-1 in MMA right now. So, I give up 18 pounds and a fair amount of experience to him, but I am confident. He can't take flurries and he has a bad neck, so one can opener and he's done. I'll dig up a pic of him. I'm off to mow and eat and work out! If we're fighting at middleweight that means that he needs to lose 2 pounds and I can gain up to 15. :D

I should be able to get it on film some way or another. I know they have camera guys cage side, and I can also see if my corner can film it. I might have my girlfriend film from the crowd too. :D I want this bitch documented! Who knows, if I get good and go pro, I could put Epoc on my shorts!

...and today I was borderline 169/170 and he was an even 190. I told him he's going the wrong direction! hahaha I got into the gym early and pushed juuuust hard enough. I was on the verge of yaking as we ended. Worked on a lot of kicks so my legs are pretty sore now. Mainly worked on defense for Ju Jitsu. Oddly enough the only 2 guys I tapped today were 250+ pounders, but they were both pretty new. I'm taking notes on what he's good at and what he sucks at and am going to work on those. 17 days to go!
