Default My New Goal

There is a bike ride called the the Furnace Creek 508. If you're interested in knowing about it, do some searching on google, there's plenty.

I've decided I'm going to do this ride for a friend of my family who did a lot of cycling before he was diagnosed with cancer.

That's it for now. I'll give more details as I sort things out.

508 miles in death valley sounds like a fun way to spend the weekend. Ultra endurance marathon, have you given any though into triathlons

Yeah, I would love to do a tri. Once I can get my running down a little better I'm going to do some.

My training for this hasn't even begun yet, haha. This is going to be a whole new ball of wax, but a good experience, too. Thanks for the good wishes!

I'm really going to kick my training into high gear, soon, so it should be fun.

I know this is thread is a month old, but if I remember correctly you are the guy who owns the restaurant in Pasadena, which would mean you are close to me. If you need a riding buddy to circle around the rosebowl a few times, let me know.

Yup, that's me. Do you ride often? A friend of mine were just at the bowl yesterday doing some workouts and watching the rosebowl ride. It was great, a guy a know (a friend of the friend I was riding with) was part of a breakaway that ended up a full 5 minutes ahead of the rest of the pack.

Let me know when you're riding, I'm always out on my bike.

nice new sig man, kinda scary when you think about it. Especially when you thinkn of comorbid conditions which i'm sure the kid already has

1. obestiy
2. hypertension or pre-hypertension (120/80 mmHh)
3. Diabetes.
4. High cholesterol (soon enough)

Sad but true. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw it though, all the elements of a rad picture are there. A fat kid, McDonalds, cutoff t-shirts, and nascar apparrel. Nice.

What sucks is that at his age, it isn't his fault, it's his parents. I can never understand how a parent would do that to their kid....

Working with obese children is a difficult task because you really can't put them on a VLCD (very low calorie diet) because they need the intake. I didn't even notice the nascar hat.

I was at your Glendale restaurant on Saturday night. I found out my sister in law used to work there when she was in highschool.

Anyway, I will definately let you know when I am going riding next. I generally go on weekends. Most of the time I don't end up riding with the pack though. I am not in the shape to wear that much spandex yet.
