I plan on doing better this week.
I did walk for about 30 minutes yesterday and today I did a pilates tape for 20 minutes and danced around in my bedroom for about another 20 minutes.
Excellent:)
You are doing great. Dancing is great excercise.

I've done good so far today. The BBQ is in a couple of hours and I plan on exhibiting some self control. lol
I was able to do some pilates and 30 minutes of disco dancing this morning. lol.
I'm going to look into the BOSU maybe tonight if I make it to Target later.

Default Frustrated

:fire

I now realize that if I do not journalize everything I put in my mouth and eat AND measure my portions, I will go over calories and not cut my intake by 500 calories a day…I in fact go over calories.

This sucks.
Also I got on the scale this morning feeling rather “slim” and saw that I’m back up to 158lbs!!! Crap.
I started at 160lbs and it friggin took me 3 weeks to loose 5lbs. Then this weekend I fail to journalize all that I eat and BAM…I’m back up in weight again. I thought I was VERY aware of what I was eating and of my portions, but apparently I wasn’t.

Journalizing food intake and measuring your food stinks.
I have another concern. I’ve been working out with weights and doing my cardio. My bf reassures me not to worry and states, “muscles weighs more than fat, maybe you are building muscle”.
I don’t buy that because at 5’3” and 158lbs, don’t I OBVIOUSLY need to lose at LEAST 15lbs??!!!
My BF is just being nice, this I realize.
Feedback and thoughts, pleeeeeeeeease.
Thanks
Oh, and being the idiot that I am, I can't figure out how to use the weight tracker and meal tracker on nav bar!:complain

Thank guys,

The best advice I can give you is to stay away from a scale for about a month and see if you can get a body comp test.

Yes muscle weighs much more than fat. How do your clothes feel? The scale lies at times, so dont let that discourage you. My BF is always telling me the truth (even when it hurts) so dont double guess his honesty.

My clothes actually fit better:)
I know the scale will most likely fluctuate but I needs to go down!! lol.
My bf means well but before I gained the weight, I was 120lbs...and he knows it! lol.
I understand the muscle weighing more that fat theory, but regardless I must drop 15lbs at the very to be healthy, correct?
I was good today. Did my cardio at noon to "the noon time disco hour" and jouralized all my food in order to stay with in my desired caloric range of under 1550 calories. I have 200 calories left that I'm saving for a half a cup of chocolate ice cream which will accompany me and my bf when we watch AI/American Idol tonite!!

Listen to this man. Water weight alone can fluctuate rapidly (+/-5lbs isn't unheard of at all) and weighing yourself from day to day isn't an accurate representation of your progress.

Aside from that, that weight you gained my very well be lean muscle, which will only aid in burning fat.

Weigh yourself in the morning, right when you wake up (before eating, drinking, anything) w/ no clothes on... and only do it once every two weeks.

I'm sticking to my jouralizing and my workouts. I feel pretty good about this thing and my outlook today is positive. I'm even waiting for my bf to come pick me up so I can go the the gym with him!
Last night I saw a pizza commercial and wanted to breakdown really bad. I hope my cravings go away and I adjust and begin to crave healthy foods soon....
