Default Desperate Goals

I know I posted my goals in my intro but here they are again:

Drop from a size 2 to a 0 (I do not weight myself because I will become obsessive)

Increase my stamina for running (right now I get winded so quickly)

Increase my weight traning from 2-3X/Week to 5X/Week (is that a good goal?) and go from using 5lbs to 8-10lbs.

Wow. A size 2??? You're tiny enough, no? lol.
How tall are you?
I'm 5'3 and a size 5/6. I'd like to try to get into a 3/4 and I'll be happy:updown I'm weighing myself once a week and doing pretty good so far. Do you enjoy running? I hate it. I've been swimming alot and finding it to be a great cardio workout. I really believe that it's increasing my stamina. I jump rope too. I'm not sure about the weights:ponder
Sounds good to me

:ban JK
I just started this past week working out to a few weight training DVD's for women. On is called Quick Fix something or other and the other is from a series called the firm. I'm using 3-5lb dumbells and resistance bands. My tricepts and bicepts are a bit sore but it's all good.:c60

I am about 5'1 - 5'1.5

I enjoy running...well it is more of a skimpper than a run. I need to really work on my form.

As for weights I try and do what the magazines say, but I could be really having some hard time with form. I usually do 5 sets of 12 reps at 5lbs of bicep curls, tricep things (where you put the weight behind your head and push up), the thing where you put your arms in a T position and lower and raise...then I do squats and lunges.

My mom always said that swimming made your arms too big (i.e. football player...this is really what she refered to it as) so I never really swim only when I have to. Also being in the sun is bad for your skin so I stay away from harmful UV rays whenever possible.

lol. I don't know about that football player theory...Swimming does define your back but I'm not a die hard "hardcore" swimmer so I don't think I'll bulk up like the Hulk. As for the sun... I usually swim only at night:updown

I used to use the rowing machine for back definition, then I just switched to push ups....I like to do things in the comfort of my own room/home...guess I am shy.

Girl, you're a size 2! What do you have to be shy about??
I have a pool in my apartment complex and my parents have a pool as well, so it's pretty convenient for me to get my nightly dip.

Well sounds like you're tiny now;)
I'm sure your current situtation with your husband isn't helping matters either. Remember, from what you shared, you loved and gave into the relationship your all...don't let his bad behavior :complain affect you and your worth or the way you view yourself.

my only suggestion would be to make your goals a lil more measurable and include a set time frame... you'll be more inclined to achieve them.

for example: instead of i want to increase my stamina, try: i want to be able to run 1 mile in 8 minutes by the end of the month. or i want to drop from a size 2 to a size 0 by april 1st.

^^ doesnt necessarily have to be those dates/times/etc, but you get the idea.

my personal example: i am currently 170lbs and i want to be 180 lbs by the end of the semester.

hope that helped.

(oh, and i dont know if you've ever heard this before - but they say "a goal isnt a goal unless it is written down"... i thought 'ha, b/s' but i tried it over winter break from school and i like it. i was 159lbs and wanted to be 175 by the start of the semester - even though a bit unrealistic to pack on 15lbs of muscle in three weeks- i typed it out and blew it up on word, printed/cut it out, taped it to my closet door in my room, and i feel helped me get close to where i wanted... start of semester i was 170ish.)

srry for long post!

By the end of March I want to be a size 0.

I feel so fat today and I dont know why, it is just so discouraging feeling this way.
