Default I'm back with some new goals

OK so i know I havent been on EFF in a long time, but my life has been really crazy.

Lets put it this way, I stopped working out for since August.

But my schedule is slowing down so I started running again. And when I started up again I was really winded and couldn't breathe and basicly was like WTF is wrong??? I would only run for about 10min and feel like I couldnt get a breath of air in and I swear I felt like I was going to die....I thought I was really out of shape.

So in a nut shell i have exercise induced asthma secondary to some severe respitory infections that I have had. Its managed now so I started running again. I am up to 2mi in about 23min. Its only been about 2.5 weeks since I started working out.

I basically want to drop some weight and run regularly. I am eating ok, not the best, but not too bad. And I am drinking a LOT more water.

But I am just feeling discouraged. I dont think I am seeing any results and its making me angry.

Welcome back Cindy! Good to see you on here again.

Hopefully your body gets used to the exercise again and you can get more comfortable with the running. Keep at it! You'll see progress for sure. Just give it some more time.

it definitely feels good to run again. i cannot believe how amazing a simple inhaler can be! it makes a world of difference.

now i just need to get my diet in check

im so proud of my self, today i ran 2mi in the morning and then 1.5 after class. im finally getting back into shape

Awesome! Good job on the run.. keep it up!

I wish I knew anything about nutrition.. Any plans on what you will be doing for diet?

well there are certain things i dont do: dressings, mayo, full calorie sodas and juices

so basically in the AM i have a granola bar or bran muffin with coffee (after my workout), lunch is a salad with out dressing or a sandwich with no condiments, more coffee, and then for dinner its usually chicken and veggies or something fattening like pizza if i am too tired to cook

yup i plan on doing that from now on, i like the AM run, the afternoon run is challenging.

so i dropped about 5lbs!!!!

and now im averaging a 4mi run each day!
