Default goals

I have a free session with a personal training tonight and my homework was to come up with 3 specific goals. Really my only goal is to lose weight so I'm not sure what the other 2 goals should be. I guess one could be to NOT build muscle. I already am pretty muscular and I don't want to build it up...maybe just tone it. I wish I could lose muscle. Then maybe I could get my calves in a pair of tall boots!

haha. Yeah I would say your goals might just be 1) Lose some weight. 2) Tone muscles. 3) Build stamina/endurance for working out.

I think the last one is a bit of importance that many people don't think about. I personally would LOVE to have the stamina to be able to workout for longer timeframes. I get beat really quickly.

make $50K this year, and buy a house by christmas.

those are my goals, but you are welcome to them.

is there a sport you like or an activity that you might want to focus on?

Only $50k/yr? That's no goal.. shoot for the stars!

Good point on the activity focus. That could help you come up with more specific goals.

buying a house is a goal but i don't think that will be happening this year nor will the gym help.

You can build muscle without building significant mass. I would say these:

1. Lose weight (try to think of a specific number if possible)
2. Increase functional strength
3. Improve cardiovascular fitness
