Default Being left alone at the gym

I was curious if there was anyone else like me on the board in regards to not liking to be bothered when working out. People coming up and talking to you about your workout etc, Although I don't mind discussing fitness with people as you might already know. I find it that I set this time for myself to get the best possible workout. Somedays I don't listen to music but always take my Ipod with me and just wear the headphones. I find it to be a really beneficial thing to do when i really need to concentrate on what I'm doing but don't want to be bothered.

What do you do, and how do you deal with the gym chit chatters?

Not only are some people chatty, some are real creepy. Creepy glances are the the worst!
I don't hit the gym as often as I should, but the times I do I'll go with one of my girl friends and keep the ipod very visible.

It really depends. If I'm resting between sets I don't mind, but do NOT bother me in the middle of a workout. I've actually had a person ask me about my car in the middle of a work out before. I just looked at him with a "WTF" look.

i hate talking to people at the gym, sure a little chitter chat is ok.

It depends on the day and the workout.

When I'm doing high intensity stuff, its a pain. I'm out of breath, fatigued and miserable; talking is the last thing on my mind.
