Since school stop so did my exercise: my 2-4 mile a day bike ride to and from (and three days a week to and from again) school. I did kick boxing on Monday to keep it up and step it up. I loved it, but it worked a lot of muscles I'm not used to working, and it worked them hard! I'm still sore today, sore enough to know that I would not be able to get through another 1/2 hour of kickboxing. What should I do tonight in order to work out without killing my legs and butt more than they already have been? Other than the obvious answer of: don't work out my legs and butt.
I have a lot of exercise programs on demand, so I have a lot of stuff to chose from. |

As hard as it is when you get back into exercising it might be best to really take down the intensity level down so you don't have as bad of DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness), Just because you don't feel that doesn't mean you are not getting a good workout. Plus who wants to go workout again after they are barely able to actually get out of bed. The eccentric action of the exercises are what really is causing the muscle soreness. Currently there is a lot going on in regards to DOMs and muscle soreness. I sat down in a speech by Dr. Clarkson not that long ago and she gave a nice presentation about muscle soreness and caffeine. I'll see if I can scan the powerpoint hand out and post it up here. She is one of the leading researchers in this field.

I have never felt any negeative effects from caffeine when working out. Preworkout it helps get you ready to go, never had any post workout problems. That's why I love it :)
