Most of us have heard of the 300 workout, and I know it wasn't what they did and all. Why does the main character's (Gerard Butler) abs bulge out? Is it genetics? Or is it mainly his training? Makeup and computers?
Here is a picture to show the example. Obviously this picture has been enhanced to show the shadows to make it look better, but they are bulging out. ![]() Thanks in advance. |

I think it had a good amount of airbrush. But according to special features and all that on the actual DVD of 300, they went through plenty of training, and you can see as they walk around while training and stuff that they are pretty muscular. I wouldn't say it was ALL airbrush. hehe.

Nice.. I was thinking of just getting it tattooed on my stomach.. so no matter what happens to me later in life, I'll always have my six-pack abs.

A popular saying in bodybuilding is that abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym. You can do all the ab work you want, but if you don't get your bodyfat down to a certain level, they won't be chiseled like that. As mentioned, in films like that they can accentuate the look with airbrushing.

Thats a lie, just pull your fat down and you have your abs. "300" abs are very achievable. Look at Mariusz Pudzianowski, and The League Champ, you'll see what can be done. As long as you get alot of muscle your abs will still stick out if you are fat.
