Default Do I really need to do legs?

I ride a bike to and from work. I take decent walks at lunch, take stairs over escalators, and if I have a natural body part, it's my legs. They look ok now, have some muscle, and will look even better should I shed some weight.

So, in the gym, can I just do general cardio and above the waist.

I do a couple of cardio things that involves legs, one that involves jumping from a squat position.

I don't really see the need to get into leg stuff all that much. I'd rather focus my attention above the waist, it will be a LONG time before like legs seemed like they were lacking my upper body.

I think it's good to train all body parts. You body is just use to your weight, to really develope those muscle groups you need to put more stress on those muscle that it normally does.

I'm currently giving the routines in "new rules of lifting" a shot, and I've been pleased with what I've been seeing. I 'neglected' leg workouts as I hate them and mainly focused on upper body and cardio...and I was mostly pleased. The author of NROL made a good point, that your legs contain some of the biggest muscles in your body and working them hard will give you greater overall benefits in terms of 'jump starting' your metabolism. Boy...he gives some PUNISHING leg workouts...but I'm starting to actually like them.

It was the first time I'd done a deadlift since high school....and don't get me started on bulgarian split squats....ugh..
