Try using the Army Physical Fitness Charts to judge your fitness
Click on your specific age group and score yourself. Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) When pushups are done your feet should be together or up to 12 inches apart, you can rest in the up position but can not touch your knees, you can not lift your hands, or feet off of the ground at anytime- duration of 2 minutes, no pausing or restarting. Situps are to be done with someone holding your feet with only their hands (they can not use their knees to help keep you down). Your hands have to stay behind your head and your fingers must be interlocked. Your head has to go past your knees and your back has to touch the ground. The rest position is the up position and if you lay on the ground without making an effort to get up then the test is over- duration of 2 minutes, no pasuing or restarting. 2 mile run: self explanatory! Currently I score 72 for pushups, 81 for situps, and 56 for the run. What can you do? |

Except my ex GF just got through boot camp and AIT and all that junk and from what she told me.. Army isn't as difficult as it used to be (or as hard as they make it sound). ![]() Great goals to shoot for though. :)

I wonder how he is doing in boot camp.
For those that don't know LeagueChamp joined the Army and is away at boot right now. I bet he is doing well.. he seemed in better shape than all the others I knew from high school that joined military. ![]()

Had my last pt test yesterday, 51 pushups, 74 situps, 13:24 2 mile run. A 260 overall score.
I'm doing well, I have 17 days and a wake up left until I come home (nov. 29th). I've lost about 20 pounds since I've been here, but with no weight lifting I have pretty much the same body composition.
