Default Endurance help

Hey

I HATE running... so my endurance is lacking. I have a stationary bike and one of those portable steppers. Will either of these help me, or should I suck it up and run a couple times a week? Thanks in advance!

what does your typical cardio workout look like?

often times i get advice that is '10min on the bike, lift weights for about 20-30min, then another 10min on the bike'. if you already have the bike i would just try to bike a lot because thats a great workout.

You're gonna need to do two things if you really want to improve your indurance: endurance (obviously) and speed.

I'll get back on here later today and give you a detailed breakdown that should really help you out.

What are your goals endurance wise?

What are you training for. Both will help as it will raise your heart over it's steady state but if we have more background info we can find a percent of your vo2 max that you should be training at.

Well, I am not really training for anything. I am just trying to get into better shape and feel like my endurance is one thing that could be better. I am not really training right now, I just want to start.

abrcrombe go a little more in detail about what your current status is weight heigh, age, etc along as what you currently do at home or at the gym what days you do it. What you've been doing for cardio, how long you do your cardio, your method of cardio, etc..

I am 20 years old, college student. my weight ranges from about 155-160 and I am 5'9". I don't really do any training and since highschool ended I haven't been too active. I used to play tennis in high school.

If I do workout, I usually do some cardio on a stationary bike for about 15 minutes, then some free weights, situps and other variations, and pushups until failure. I am not heavy or thin... I just want to feel better about myself and be in better shape.

Right on, what are your goals endurance-wise? Do you want to be able to run a marathon or just be able to do a certain activity longer w/o being as fatigued? Is there any specific goal you want to reach, or is better fitness in general your goal?
