Default cardio alternatives?

I don't have a gym membership... i have my own mini-gym in my basement that i use to lift. So i don't have access to normal gear.

i hate running. despise it. have no motivation for it.

i don't own a bike.

any other things you would suggest for a nice cardio work out?

I too am not very cordinated SO, I often just do work out tapes. I have a few at home from the 80s (Bodies in Motion). I had Ballet Bootcamp, but that got lost with the sorority, and I really miss my Tae Bo tapes. Those were amazing. And because I did them alone, I could mess up on all the moves but still TRY and eventually I got better at it...I may just start that up again, I am tired of running.

Best Buy has a lot of DVDs for cardio, abs, tae bo, dance, etc. They are really reasonably priced also.

Hey, well I know you said that your not a fan of running but its alwasy good to try to change someones ways! If the gym cant come to you well that should never be a reason not to stay in shape glad to hear that your going 2 sti keep it up. Well, first no one ever realy like running, but a way to boost up the cardio is maybe just going for a slight run or jog just to get your heart rate, I always fine that the motivation to run when u dont want to is just a great way to clear your mind and what always helps for me is by putting on great music mix and jsut run... so try that and u might suprise yourself. But a great way to also stay at home is by working out to some great workout DVDs u can find all sorts for a reasonable price that will work on speficic areas another great inexpesnsive investment is a swiss ball and medcine ball those are a great way to mult task abs legs arms as well as work on balance body.! well I hope this helps a bit!

We use Bas to get us warmed up at my MMA gym. VERY good work out and he explains how to do all the moves. Lots of different levels too. Check it out!

BAS IS AMAZING! wow ive never heard of other people who did it before haha. my roomates and i have a standup punching bag in our garage that we do bas with. great workout.

or if you do get a gym membership eventually, try walking up hill... 10 - 12% slope at about a 3.5 speed. Bring a magazine or ipod video or something as your not working very hard, but because of the slope your heart rate will be around 130 - 150 which is perfect.
