I was wondering how long of a time you train hard to get ready for an event and what exactly you do for your training.
Involved for almost a year now. IMO you would be stupid to enter an event against someone who has any training if you have none. I have my first fight coming up in 10 days. Some say you should have a minimum of 6 months before stepping into the ring/cage. You always have a punchers chance, but if the guy has any ground game at all, you will be in trouble very quickly. I work Ju jitsu, and kickboxing the most, but we also work a lot on positioning and how to work up against the cage and how to make sure you are protected when engaged with someone. There is a never ending amount of things to learn in this sport. I highly suggest you find a gym and get some training in before you seriously consider a fight. If you don't at least do that, make sure your cardio is through the roof for your fight. :wave Lemme know if you have any questions for me, I'd love to answer them for you!
