I have a Henckle Pro 8", I would love to get the 10", but I got some generic kitchen 10's that work well.
OIne tool that I would put on the list is a hand blender. it has a wisk and a chopper attachment along with the blender head. that thing is aweso0me for shakes, but it is really great making sauces right in the hot pot. zoom!
One tool that most americans dont have is a lemon squeezer, but I married a mexican, so we had to get one. it makes putting lemon juice on things a snap. But that is not a basic tool, unless you cook mexican.
I need a grill pan. I do have a pan with wiffle holes in it for roasting tomatoes and peppers, do you ;)
funnels, cant forget the funnels. for putting powdered mix into bottles, and hot sauce from big bottles to portable ones.
the one thing that I have never had though are pot holders.
