Well, if he has a day to recover, I think that is more than enough time. Plus, it's not like I'm advocating that he take long breaks in b/w sets, if you keep things moving, you're still burning fat and whatnot. Except for bench days, I'm usually recovered enough that I can hit the gym the next day, then again I'm eating pretty well and taking in a lot of protien and amino acids.
