I did kind of tell her that I was interested in just getting fit in an overall sense, feel better put together, lose weight, lose my man boobs, get my trunk in shape, eat better, get oxygen into my brain, etc.
To be fair, that is kind of what is happening. I'm not that interested in getting all big. My body takes muscle well, and I'll be plenty big enough without going to the Mr. Olympia look.
I think that's it. I just want to know the method to the madness so I know what I'm working with.
I would not really like the other trainers. They just another woman who seems pretty cool. The woman I have now is kinda gruff, kinda drill sergeant, and that's just not my style. We kinda communicate a little better now. She likes me somewhat since I can put up with out without whining and I put in good effort. She does make me more sore then I tend to get byself, although I'm starting to push myself a little harder of later.
I'm 40 and I've never lifted weights before. I was a punk, not jock in high school and weight lifting was pretty popular in my high school. I lightly messed around with it in college, but generally quit once I started seeing results. Basically, I came into this pretty raw and not knowing much.
