I lucked out as my wife is a Physical Therapist.

I 'started my program' last October, and in late November I fractured the radial head of my ulna when I was messing around on my son's skateboard

She's a tough therapist, and I was lifting again in six weeks...no kidding. I won't say it didn't hurt and ache for awhile. It's a little different for muscle issues, she generally fusses at me to 'lay off' an injury for a while and then slowly start building it up again. Additionally she have me focus on 'supporting muscles' as well.
