I'm currently giving the routines in "new rules of lifting" a shot, and I've been pleased with what I've been seeing. I 'neglected' leg workouts as I hate them and mainly focused on upper body and cardio...and I was mostly pleased. The author of NROL made a good point, that your legs contain some of the biggest muscles in your body and working them hard will give you greater overall benefits in terms of 'jump starting' your metabolism. Boy...he gives some PUNISHING leg workouts...but I'm starting to actually like them.

It was the first time I'd done a deadlift since high school....and don't get me started on bulgarian split squats....ugh..
