I watched Human Weapon on the History channel (actually I DL'd it) all 6 episodes, the last one was on Krav Maga. I trained Shotokan Karate, but KM looked very interesting. On the street, I think any well trained art will be useful. MMA and such can be helpful, but there is no way I would want to be locked up with an attacker. I want to be able to strike and run. Sparring in Shotokan is like playing toy guns. I would throw a punch, but I would have to pull it, where my TKD partner would kick me or something and I wouldnt be able to resopond full force, so there was nothing to stop them. I dont know if Iam explaining it, but point sparring is a helluva lot different than trying to kill someone. SHotokan trains for the ippon, one shot kill. but it's hard to practice and still have friends.
